How alerts reach you

Default alerts

Each rig gets a set of alert rules when its agent pairs. They cover:

  • the agent going silent
  • a sequence that should be running but isn’t
  • frames that stop arriving
  • data quality drifting from what is normal for that rig
  • a disk filling up
  • device faults

To change a threshold or turn a rule off, go to Alerts. For what each one means, see What each alert means.

Where alerts go

Each rule can notify by push, email, or both.

  • Push needs the Astral Warden mobile app. Sign in and allow notifications.
  • Email goes to the address on your account.

A rule set to push only reaches no one if you have no phone registered. The Alerts page warns you about this.

You get one notification when an alert fires and another when it clears.

Test it

Click Send a test alert on the setup checklist. It tells you whether the alert reached your phone and your inbox.

If the email went to spam, mark it as not spam. Real alerts come from the same address.

Stop alert emails

Every alert email has an Unsubscribe link. It stops alert emails only. Push notifications keep working. The same link turns email back on.

To stop one kind of alert, turn that rule off on the Alerts page.

If your trial ends

Alerts stop when your trial ends without a subscription. They start again when you subscribe. See Trial and billing.
